The role of peripheral puncture and central venous puncture intubation models

Peripheral puncture and central venous puncture intubation models are a type of highly realistic teaching tool used for clinical skills training. Through realistic anatomical structures and touchable vascular paths, they provide learners with a safe and repeatable practice environment. Models usually have simulation levels of the skin, subcutaneous tissue, veins and central venous system, and can be trained for complete operation processes such as needle insertion, blood return judgment, guide wire placement, dilation and catheter fixation.

In teaching, the model helps students become familiar with the basic techniques of peripheral venipuncture, and improves their abilities to locate blood vessels, control angles and increase the success rate of puncture. At the same time, it can also demonstrate the key steps of central venous puncture, such as the Seldinger technique, deep vein localization and complication prevention. For clinical interns, nursing staff and first aid trainees, the model provides a risk-free practical operation platform, which helps to reduce clinical operation errors and improve overall puncture safety and proficiency. It is an indispensable basic equipment in various medical skills training.
