Before operation, it is necessary to check whether the appearance of the model and the venous pipeline are intact, and prepare the puncture needle, tourniquet, disinfection supplies and simulated blood. During the operation, trainees need to follow the clinical procedure. First, explain the purpose of the operation to the "child patient" and comfort them. Then, select an appropriate venous site (such as the back of the hand, the back of the foot or the scalp vein), and then carry out routine skin disinfection, bind the tourniquet and fix the puncture site. When inserting the needle, keep the inclined surface of the needle tip facing upwards at an appropriate Angle. After blood returns, release the tourniquet and fix the needle, and then proceed with the infusion or blood collection operation.

After the needle is removed, immediate pressure should be applied to stop the bleeding and a dressing should be applied. Care should be taken to avoid infection and injury. After use, the simulated blood in the model should be drained and the puncture site cleaned to extend its service life. Through repeated practice, trainees can enhance the accuracy and stability of infant venipuncture, reduce clinical risks, and improve the quality of care.
